- Kingwood is served by Humble ISD.
It is noted for outstanding student achievements and strong parental involvement. Kingwood boasts ten elementary schools, three middle schools, a 9th grade campus and one high school.
- Of the 14 Humble ISD schools located in Kingwood, 13 received an “Exemplary” rating from the Texas Education Agency for the 2004 school year. 99% of all Kingwood High Scholl graduates go on to institutions of higher learning.
- Kingwood High School is a Class Five-A comprehensive high school serving approximately 3,075 students in grades 10-12. A staff of over 200 teachers together with seven counselors and eight administrators offer an individualized approach to learning and development. KHS is accredited by the Texas Education Agency. Extensive renovations are underway at this campus in preparation for the building to become a four-year school when Kingwood Park High School opens at the current 9th grade site in 2007. Seniors graduated from Kingwood High School in May 2001 with over $3.2 million dollars awarded in academic, artistic, musical, and athletic scholarships. Kingwood High School finished first among 5A schools in the 2000/2001 Lone Star Cup competition. The Lone Star Cup honors the best overall athletic and academic programs among the 1,200 Texas schools participating in University Interscholastic League competition.
- Kingwood College, a North Harris Montgomery Community College, is also located in Kingwood. This two-year college offers university transfer courses, career and vocational programs as well as an extensive Community Education program for youth and adults.
